Royal Ascot 2011 Roll of Honour

There were many exciting moments at Royal Ascot this year - here is our Roll of Honour:-

Tuesday 14th June

Frankel won the St James's Palace Stakes (Group 1) trained by Sir Henry Cecil. Neebras was fourth, bred by Langton Stud.

Power won the Coventry Stakes(Group 2), consigned as a yearling by Highclere Stud.

Ransom Note was fifth in the Queen Anne Stakes (Group 1) consigned as a yearling by Hillwood Stud.

Ermyn Lodge was second in the Ascot Stakes, bred by Horizon Bloodstock Limited and raised at Heatherwold Stud.

Caspar Netscher was second in the Windsor Castle Stakes (Listed) bred by Meon Valley Stud - Gentleman's Code was fourth, trained by Wesley Ward.

Wednesday 15th June

Rewilding won the Prince of Wales's Stakes (Group 1) bred by Watership Down Stud. Twice Over was fifth, trained by Sir Henry Cecil.

Chachamaidee was second in the Windsor Forest Stakes (Group 2) trained by Sir Henry Cecil.

Dance and Dance was second in the Royal Hunt Cup trained by Ed Vaughan.

Best Terms won the Queen Mary (Group 2) consigned as a yearling by Jamie Railton Sales Agency.

Thursday 16th June

Burwaaz was fourth in the Norfolk Stakes (Group 2) trained by Ed Dunlop.

Dorcas Lane was third in the Ribblesdale Stakes (Group 2) bred by the Elms Stud.

Askar Tau was fifth in the Gold Cup (Group 1) trained by Marcus Tregoning. Duncan was 6th, bred and owned by Normandie Stud.

Sagramor won the Brittania Stakes, bred and raised at Fonthill Stud.

Specific Gravity was fourth in the Tercentenary Stakes (Group 3) trained by Sir Henry Cecil.

Friday 17th June

Nathaniel won the King Edward VII Stakes (Group 2) bred and owned Lady Rothschild at Waddesdon Stud.

Joviality was sixth in the Coronation Stakes (Group 1) bred by Highclere Stud and Floors Farming.

Beachfire won the Wolferton Handicap (Listed) consigned as a yearling by Kingwood Stud. Bea Remembered was fifth, bred and owned by Plantation Stud. 

Solar Sky was second in the Queen's Vase (Group 3) bred and owned by Lordship Stud and trained by Sir Henry Cecil. Halifax was fifth, bred by Rabbah Bloodstock.

Saturday 18th June

Swingkeel won the Queen Alexandra Stakes trained by John Dunlop. Ajaan was third trained by Sir Henry Cecil.

Pastoral Player was third in the Wokingham Stakes bred by Whitsbury Manor Stud. Anne of Kiev was fourth trained by Jeremy Gask.
