Diet Description
Equishure® supports intestinal health by helping to maintain a normal pH in the horse’s hindgut. EquiShure® is a time-released hindgut buffer proven to reach the target organs. At-risk horses often express one or more signs that can reduce growth or reproductive potential.
Equishure® is suitable for:
■Horses with a decreased feed intake and poor appetite
■Horses that are not maintaining optimum body condition
■Horses that have an unexplained loss of performance
■Horses that develop habits such as wood chewing, weaving or box walking

The demands placed on horses as athletes and as breeding animals dictate that substantial quantities of energy rich feeds are often consumed. Overconsumption of either high starch concentrates or pasture grasses that are rich in fructans can rapidly increase fermentation in the horse’s hindgut. Equishure® may help to maintain normal fermentation patterns in the hindgut to provide the optimum environment to help support lactic acid utilising bacteria and the natural production of volatile fatty acids from starch and cellulose.
Equishure® can be used to help maintain a normal pH during an intense period of sales preparation, or at times when there is a greater reliance on high starch diets or high fructan pastures in the diet.
