Stud Pencils
SUITABLE FOR...
• Lactating mares
• Working stallions
• Growing youngstock
Diet Description
A palatable cube for broodmares during pregnancy and lactation and is ideal for feeding to other stud animals, providing ample nutrients for working stallions and growing youngstock. Recent research work has shown that the nutrients a brood mare needs in her last three months of pregnancy have been underestimated. During the last three months of pregnancy, 60% of foetal development occurs and 40% of the foals skeletal structure develops inside the mare. Developmental bone disorders are found in foals less than two weeks old; this may indicate malnutrition of the broodmare during the last three months. Foals will drink up to 3% of their body weight as their mothers milk. The mare's milk yield is dependent not just on genetics but also by energy and nutrient intake during pregnancy and lactation. It is very important that your mare is being fed a ration that has been formulated especially for her.
THE MIX EQUIVALENT TO THIS RATION IS SARACEN STUD MIX.
