Diet Description

RESTORE is a carefully formulated electrolyte supplement designed to match the composition of horses’ sweat.

RESTORE is designed to replenish electrolytes in any situation where the horse may have sweated, particularly after training, travel, racing, during hot weather or competition. The actual amounts of chloride, sodium, potassium, and magnesium lost in sweat are replaced by RESTORE. If these essential nutrients are not replenished, the consequences may include dehydration, muscular weakness, overheating, fatigue, and poor performance. The composition of RESTORE mimics that of horses’ sweat so it restores what has been lost from sweat. The dose rate should be adjusted according to the amount of sweat loss. RESTORE contains more electrolytes per dose than most other electrolyte supplements.

FEEDING RECOMMENDATION

Adjust dose according to sweat loss and work intensity. Divide daily amount fed equally among meals and mix well. The following recommendations are for a horse with a mature body weight of 500 kg and should be adjusted accordingly.

Work Intensity- Light, Visible sweat, 30-60 g
Work Intensity- Moderate, Dripping sweat, 60-90 g
Work Intensity, Heavy, Extended sweating, 90-120 g

1 scoop = 30 g
For best results feed RESTORE after competition, work or in any situation where the horse has sweated. In addition to RESTORE, all horses should have access to a salt block or additional loose salt.
