Alan King had a fantastic week at the Cheltenham Festival 2008 with a tally of 3 wins, two 2nd places, one 3rd place, two 4th places and one 5th place which netted total prize money of £448,986.
On Tuesday, Katchit became the first five-year-old since See You Then in 1985 to win the Champion Hurdle - the 'pocket rocket' has now scored five times at Cheltenham and twice at the Festival. On Thursday, Old Benny showed serious stamina to win the Peter O'Sullevan National Hunt Chase Challenge Cup, and on Friday, Alan chalked up his third winner when Nenuphar Collonges won the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle.
Alan has now trained 10 Cheltenham Festival winners in the space of 4 years, and now lies 2nd in the Top National Hunt Trainers table behind Paul Nicholls.
