DBS St. Leger Sale Topper
It was a good day at the office for Charlie and Tracy Vigors on August 26th. On the opening day of the DBS St. Leger Sale, the couple consigned Lot 38, a colt by Dubawi out of Hasten, to achieve the second highest price ever in the history of the St. Leger Sale when he sold for £220,000. The colt topped the sale, and made an impressive profit of £165,000 for the stud’s syndicates. Another notable pinhooking success was Lot 471, a filly by Fasliyev out of Danseuse Du Bois who was sold for £40,000, having cost just 14,000 Euros as a foal. In total, the five pinhooked yearlings that Hillwood Stud consigned sold for £359,000 having cost £161,000 as foals. These are handsome returns for Charlie and Tracy, who have been trading as Hillwood Stud for just three years. Saracen Horse Feeds are proud to be part of their team.
“It was a fantastic result and we’re absolutely thrilled to have topped one of the premier yearling sales so early in our consigning career.” said Charlie Vigors
