Back-to-back centuries for Alan King
Alan King recorded another landmark achievement in his training career when Silk Hall won the juvenile hurdle at Newbury, chalking up his second century of winners. He achieved the first century last season, and said: "I think it's about a week earlier than last year but very pleasing considering the hold-up and lost meetings with the weather in January." Congratulations to Alan and his team at Barbury Castle.
Alan lies third in the trainers' table behind Paul Nicholls and Nicky Henderson, and heads towards the Cheltenham Festival with a very strong team. He then went on to show what great form his horses are in by recording a double on Friday and following that with a four-timer at Doncaster on Saturday, all ridden by Wayne Hutchinson. The winning horses were Lake Legend, Georgian King, Lidar and West End Rocker.
