For Those Who... Are Rising Stars
2009 was a year full of ups and downs for Saracen Team Rider Charlotte Platt, but 2010 has some promising prospects as Charlotte explains:
"2010 has started on a really positive note with my top ride Paulien now back in work after injury, and fingers crossed will be back at top level come April, as we are building her up with the hope that we will make the selection for Kentucky WEG.
Ulien (Pauliens sister) is going really well and hopefully will be ready for some Grand Prix this year, and I have an exciting new ride called Double Dutch, a new horse who we plan to take to compete in some good classes at big shows next year. Ulien is 14 years old and owned by Janet Mourkogiannis.
Paulien's daughter Velien will also move up this year to jump alongside them all!
My real aim for 2010 is Kentucky, but I'm also very excited about this year with regards to all my horses' performances in the year ahead, as well as the reward that I get in producing my young horses and seeing their development.
As I write it's snowing heavily, so as soon as it starts to melt, it's going to be a busy 2010!"
